Do you get good signal/range with the buddy tracking antenna mounted there? They say to mount it on a plastic shroud with the ears vertical, but I don't see a good spot to do that that wouldn't also make hood removal more involved.
I only rode with one Polaris that had ride share, and we never did a distance test. This year will test more on its capabilities.

Picked up some supplies. I’m planning on keeping my 22 turbo for a second sled, and waiting on my 24 turbo to come in. I’m adding a battery that will handle leaving it on for the day. WHERE are you mounting the battery?
I am also installing this on a 22 Turbo and a 24 Turbo.
 
What is that mount? Have a link?
Thats the Trail Tech UTV kit RAM mount for mounting to a roll bar. I ordered the UTV kit instead of snow kit because I didn't plan to use any of the temperature sensors and the UTV kit comes with the roll bar/hose clamp mount for same price as snow kit.

I have the adjustable height riser so that location didn't work for me, but used the same mount and put the hose clamp through the hole in the T post; so similar location but a little lower. Appears to work well - we'll see when the snow flies this winter.

A 12v Dewalt(or brand of your choice) power tap to cig plug should be light enough and more than enough capacity. Or 20v powerstack with regulator would work too but more weight and bulkier.

very much interested to see how you solve this.
In theory, you shouldn't need a diode for this. There's a "when to charge" setting in the Voyager Pro, either "Charge Always" or "Charge when Engine is running", and the unit uses the RPM sensor to know if the engine's running. If you set it to "Charge when Engine is running", it should not draw down a battery with the engine off.
