For myself, a highpoint in the history of SW was when a gentleman came on here looking for Ski-Doo stickers and maybe a Snowest magazine subscription for a young boy named Brendan. Brendan had cancer. The good people on here took it one step farther and donated enough $$ in a short time to grant his wish....plus buy Brendan a new MXZ-120, delivered to his door by a nearby dealer and $$ left over to help the family with medical bills. Not sure what ever happened with Brendans health but I'm sure this took his mind off the cancer, at least for awhile. :beer;:)

Ahhh yes I remember....it doesn't get any better than that! :beer;

a couple of epic threads

1) the guy who went over a cliff and spent the night before a helicopter could get him. His story added 15 pounds to my backpack and a whistle to my jacket zipper

2) I dare ya Rene had a pretty awesome story and pics of a ride over a ledge. My arse was puckered shut for two days after looking at the pics.

It's called the Wayback Machine. Archive.org has been crawling the internet taking snapshots of websites for years and archiving them. The old address for the forums was www.snowest.com/fusetalk. I've just been going through the archived pages looking for interesting/funny posts. It's not a complete backup of the forums, but gives you a place to see some of it.

As you discovered, www.snowest.com has more snapshots.

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.snowest.com

Follow the link and select one of the dates. Click on the forums link on the main SnoWest page. That will give you a snapshot of the forums on that date. You can't search, but you can click through the pages.

BRENTENS MINI-Z WITH PICS, HONEST!!!!! REALLY, ITS TRUE!
(Some of the pictures are in the archive, as well.)

What oil do you use? (An early one)

What oil smells the best?

If you could be any animal what would it be?

For all those that still think that Flatlanders can't ride in the mountains, take a look at this pic: (An old-fashion flame war)

Anyone wanna date my ex?

When you get to the error page, look for "Search other dates." It will return you all the other archived copies of that page. You may have to copy the URL it gives you and manually search for it if that doesn't work.
