Some things I will always remember along the history of this forum:

The "sponshured thread" by Sledsaviour and the "Look what I highmarked today" thread from Snopropanther. Two of the funniest things I have ever enjoyed reading in my entire life. Two threads I will never forget - no matter what happens to this forum.

IndyDan's thread where he and Eric helped out a fellow sledder to get back on his feet - truly amazing story about comraderie and unity among sledders - moments that made my heart proud to be a sledder - and generosity that I will never forget - no matter what happens to this forum.

The irony that while some of the people that gave this forum a vibrant breath of life - tragically have lost their's - A place of heartbreak RIP REVX, The Sparwood Boys and to all those others that we have lost and their families and friends - :rose: to those people that we will never forget - no matter what happens to this forum.

Scott I completely agree with the history of this forum...however I do not with your analogy. Did advertisers come into this farmer's field and post banners all over to sell their products? Did the farmer receive money from these advertisers because they wished to sell their products to dirt bikers that were in his field?

I have always liked you Scott...good luck to your endeavors on this site. Maybe we can ride someday.

RIP Animal

I have been on here since the get go. One thing that goes thru my mind is:
it just a website, however i have met quite a few good people off of here.
But it is still just a website. This is not our life and blood, there is a whole world out there. Do we need to go out and enjoy it?

If harris publishing wants to charge for their website let them. If you want to pay to stay, go ahead. I am not to worried about it either way. The phone still rings to slims house. Atleast it did the other day.

like some have already said, This forum has been through a lot. I've been on here off and on since close to the beginning. I'd forgotten all of the things that had happened. RIP those who are no longer with us. I don't think things will ever be the same. Lets just look for the good we see here every day!

First time I met MTDream.....went out riding with him and Arctic Sledhead &10 peeps in from out of town from the company they all work for. Took these folks out on rentals, and one of the gals with a guy on the back decided to try to do a very small hillclimb.

I haven't been a member for very long but I have been reading for quite a while. I remember all the times my brothers (Leedoo and Aug- not that they are on here much anymore) would be sitting at the computer laughing their butts off at some post or another on here. I happend to meet my now husband cause of two snowest rides so I guess I will always be fond of this site.

Good post Scott. :beer;

Oh and by the way, my guy ran into Nate today so he is still alive. ;)

Big Darrin said the old threads are gone. They are on tape somewhere and they can't find them. Too bad. Good stuff.

Oh yeah..those are good ones.
I remember when MP didn't show up to his own forum ride...not that they knew of anyway.

Remember his "cousin" Phil Bowman?

What's up with Doug..where did he go?

Remember Wildcard vs. Valley Girl?

Remember when the Oberti brothers fought like....brothers? GOOD stuff there.

RIP Billy Goat and Mrs. Billy Goat. They died in a plane crash.

Remember when SilverTip got a LOT of crap for riding in his Makinaw and now helmet?

I know I have 383 pics around too.

I didn't know the Powder Girl was an alter? I've met her. LOL

Doug still owns a hardware store in Talkeetna and as far as I know, hardly rides.

You do know that Wildcard (RIP) lived in Homer, right Scott? That is where your buddy worked that moved to Ak.

Powder girl was one of the Alaska crew's (I'm now telling who) alter ego from 04 threw 06. She (he) would surface occasionally to stir the pot.

Snowest, please bring back some of the classic threads:rolleyes:
