geared 19/42 you should make 75mph with the cvt in 1:1 ratio (and 100mph @ 0.75:1 overdrive). my guess is that your shifting rpm is way to high (passed the power peak rpm which is 7200)
at 7900 you got less power and your engine cannot shift the clutches all the way
look in the attatched files the data that I have gathered

Sorry if I am contradicting myself, I guess I just cant explain what it is that i mean. Im toping about at around the 75 mark a little under 3/4 throttle. Now for the last 1/4 or so of my throttle, my engine screams and revs up to the 7950rmps, but doesnt have any effect AT ALL on my movement, doesnt speed up, doesn't jump the nose, just do anything. Is that normal with the 19/42 gearing, or do I have some more clutching to do?
Thanks,
Nolan

You now need to load the engine by changing your helix to the 66-44/42.46 that should help.

Thats what I plan on doing, but Im also thinking about going with the 975 kit. Just as a side thought, If I am upgrading to the 975 kit, will the same clutching be used? or should I wait until i decide on whether or not im going to go with the 975 before i start switching out my clutching?
Thanks,
Nolan

2005 900 gearing

The 2005 900 will not go to 19/42 gears without a 92P chain. WPS was the only place I could find a Hyvo 3/4 wide 92P chain however they no longer are selling them. So if you have an 05 900 you will have to try 18/40 or 19/41 gears. If anyone has a 92P chain or knows the Polaris part # for a 92P chain please PM me. Or if you would like my 19/42 gears let me know I will probably be selling them and trying the 18/40 combo.

Thanks, Rod
