Nice Job WYO!

I'm glad to see that you have the passion to improve a good sled. We used to do extreme changes years ago and that seems to have become a lost art and a lost passion for alot of riders.

Like the old days, it may work, may need additional R&D, and it may not. I most certainly hope it's meets your expectations!

Keep up the good work!

29 1/4" wide at front of boards, pretty much the same as a pro rmk.

Yah, the PC is a bit scary on the steep sidehill. Maybe because I have a 153, or I may have run out of vagasil, but it just feels like it is going to kick out and then highside. Freaky feeling. King Cat did better, which is sad to say. :(
Stock skis, stock steering, hopefully upgrading those help. Tired of watching Pros zip around all day while I wrestle, lean, swear, and pray I don't hit trees.
Maybe it is time to start cutting it up.

I was in my white Tdi jetta... Do you know where youll be riding? I'm thinking about going Saturday, but it'll be somewhere around Cle elum. I was thinking about going to the 38's, but I think I'm just gonna go on the narrow side of the spindle, and do exits all the way around. I'm not really liking the floats...

Going with 38's, gen III's and prob some raptors at some point.

Prob ride around baker, not sure which spot but somewhere safer with good riding.

So are the raptors better than the exits? And I know you will, but post how the gen 3S do. It's an interesting design, even if verlin is a slightly crazy guy! I've been torn on which skis to get...

The raptors are as high end as you can get, so if you took all the high end shocks (not many) they are all comparable. But I have not personally compared them.

Update!

Looking for an update on how your sled is working now that you have some more time on it... is it still a doo on hard pack? Or is a Suzuki pro the way to go?

Works good, little tough but once its on its side it holds, But I also have the 38" arms and stock shocks with wide skis. I think I will change the angle on the ski and mod the back edge with some better shocks. Then kmod has a new style coupling block that will prob help also.
But on a steep sidehill it keeps pulling hard with hardly any drag and most of the time I can turn up and climb higher where everyone else struggles to maintain.

With Those things done and some weight dropped it will be better than anything else all around.

Vids

I modded the Gen III's, I heated and rolled the outside edge up at an angle starting at the ski bolt and going back. This made the sidehill transition a lot easier and smoother.

Some vids, sidehilling until hitting a track and washing out I stopped and looked back, gives an idea of the steepness. Good one on how to get unstuck when stuck straight up and down. lol

I'm not much of a dropper, my skid is setup different and the front shocks are stock with 38" arms so my front air psi is down, not the best setup for drops and it was hard below (where you would land) but if you want to try I can take you there, lol

Lol,

I'll admit it, I'm not a dropper or much of a jumper. This is the first sled I feel comfortable even hitting a jump (the right jump) WOT. I did it once on a mtn cat once and it wasn't pretty, a few times on my M's but never felt quite right. Maybe I'm getting more comfortable in general but I would rather learn slow then by mistakes.

BTW, just over the hill theres a lot more. Some good ones in cooke too
