OK, here is my question. Seems the masses have gone all in on the 9R Khoas 155. So where does this leave the BOOST? I did ride a 9r and thought it was a great sled, but I already have a well-built 850 NA Matryx Khaos 155. What would be a better compliment for it 9R or Boost. I don't mind riding trees, but I don't spend all day in them. Like to ride in deep, side hilling slopes and climbing to a degree (non-avalanche terrain).
Get a boost. Nothing replaces the feel of riding a wheelie all the way up a hill.

It’s the worst for durability and coastal snow performance but you’re spot on about the comparison between the two tracks. The only way to make the 3” work is to trim it. Paddles fold over to easy.

Polaris should be embarrassed about the quality of the 2.75 track. It’s junk. But it’s a good performing track once you get 400 miles inland from the Pacific.
Are you talking about the series 8 from 2021 or the series 8 that is 2022 and newer? Becasue they are much better now.

First ride on the 9R Khaos 165 today, started the day with 1.5 miles on the sled. It was a break-in ride and we rode in the trees at the 6000 to 8000 foot elevation. The 9R Khaos works very well in the tight stuff, great throttle response, easy to get on edge, holds a side hill very well and the power delivery is predictable.

Items I will be addressing are the shocks ride way to stiff and sorting out the correct clutch weights as on the few short full throttle busts the 9R jumped to 8,700 instantly, the stock 72 grams weights are too light, will try 76 gram and see.

Finished the day with 73 miles on the sled and 30% fuel. Had a good first day on the 9R it is a definite keeper.
I am noticing my 23 Khaos is softening up in the ride dept now I have about 500+ miles on it. They are hard to dial in to get them smooth on the chatter. Big bumps are good.

How about wait for the 900 Boost?

You already have the na. I would get a boost. If i could only have one sled it would be a boost.

Have 3 rides in 9r. 165 Pro Velocity shocks. Big guy 250 in shorts. 6’4”. Best sled I’ve ever owned. Very predictable easy to ride. Been fiddling with the shocks a little. Fronts I’ve got 2 threads showing for preload and running 3-4 on comp damping. Front track shock has almost no preload comp on 1. Rear track shock has about 6-7 threads showing, comp on 1. This is the first Polaris I’ve owned that doesn’t just beat the crap out of you on the trail. Side hills very easy, holds a line very easy climbs well with just a little ski lift. I’m really steep climbs I’m getting more ski lift than I want. Going to try running more RTS comp and see how that works
Engine is strong but it’s not that dramatic over an 850. I can feel it has more power buts the factory estimates seem accurate. I’m 8450-8500 at 5000 ish feet with my giant self on it. Running stock clutching with 78 weights.

You are welcome for telling you to buy it when you were being a little bitch backing out on your snow checks.

All years, total garbage. Buddy is on his 3rd track on a ‘22 boost. Bring me back the 2.6 if this 2.75 is the best they can do. If you’ve clipped any, you’ll see what I am talking about.

My 2.75 track has torn paddles with 75 miles on it. Some where hard miles tho! I’ll replace with a 2.6 or a Lynx track when needed

I do concrete for a living. Do you really think I'm fat? I don’t have to lose 20 pounds to go snowmobiling like some. I get it, at 5'4, you can't hold on to the handlebars and get your feet back on the boards to lighten the heavier front-end of the boost.
