What made you go with the Allsport instead of the Snowmobile model? I'm sitting on the fence on which way to go. Do you think the wheel wells will not be a problem?

A few reasons ... I think they told me they couldn't do the 7000# axles on the snowmobile trailer style, only 5200# axles...

Also... I knew I wanted this thing to be able to haul whatever whenever, be it sleds, bikes, or a car....so I thought that having it lower with the beavertail would work ...

I knew it would be a trade-off, having the trailer set lower to the ground vs. ease of loading stuff. Going with a trailer that big knowing I'd be pulling it all over kingdom come, I opted to go with the lower set trailer ... WIth the 16" wheels, its still fairly high off the ground, so it was a good compromise.

I don't think loading sleds will be too bad, especially once I get the ski guides installed in it ... I will be putting them over the wheel wells, and they are sloped slightly.

The other trailer I have experience with set up like this has slightly smaller wheel wells but they were never a problem with the mountain sleds because the stances weren't wide enough to matter really.

Overall I think it'll be ok

Gorgeous trailer. great to see the different ideas that you put into the trailer. I just got done building and all aluminum trailer. came out to 7000 pds empty, good thing I got a truck to pull it. How is the build and fit and finish. I am looking for a smaller 16 footish 2 place enclosed for work and days I dont' want to take my 33' enclosed out.
