My 2013 - 163" just came in, and I have a digital scale in the shop to hang it. I will do it this week and post pictures of it hanging and the number on the scale.

This is a brave man....
Prepare to answer questions for the next month or 2 on what was in the sled, how full the fluids were, what kind of scale, is that latex paint or oil based on your shop walls, etc, etc
That said....every time someone on here weighs a sled, it blows me away the variables they introduce. "I always weigh sleds with all fluids full except coolant, one ski missing, a 2006 Boise Idaho phone book in the tunnel bag, and a medium dominos pep and bacon on the seat. Only way I do em."
Someone finally comes up with something that makes sense....ala Carl's cycle.....and it's still not good enough. Unreal.

2013 Pro RMK- 507lbs 100% full of fluids "11.5 gallons of gas"
2013 M8 153- 559.6lbs 100% full of fluids "10.6 gallons of gas"
M8 holds less gas and still weighs 52lbs more then the RMK.
Happy now?

231kg-508# All Fluids full on our scales.
And -12 M8 153" is about 228kg-502# Bone dry on our scales......

Curious, which M8? Standard, snopro, HCR, or LE? The LE is a decent ways lighter than the others, just curious which benchmark we're using here.

Bcl if you look at the date of the thread referenced it's march, still no snowcheck production sleds weighed. I'm not sure why a few guys pissy about weight posts I'm just curious how light it really is. I ride an 1100t so not looking to start a bash session.
polaris has been using vinned sleds for the spring demos..making them actual production sleds...( this straight from an engineer in the spring...all were exactly as they would be sold in the fall), I know polaris has a big red sticker on the tunnel that says experimental on it for any nonproduction sleds..seen these as well in one of the MSD classes I took....
Sorry guys, finally got around to hanging the 2013 sled to weight it. 163" track, oil tank full, coolant full and exactly 3 gallons of gas is 474lbs hanging. Sorry about the reflection on the glass. So the hanging straps were 4lbs weighed on a postal scale, the 3 gallons of gas is 18 lbs and whatever the oil in the tank weighs and the coolant weighs.
452lbs minus oil in tank and coolant. So with 8.5 more gallons of gas to top it off, it would be right at 521lbs wet and ready to ride. We've got a new 2013 Pro-Climb in to that we pick up Tuesday. We will hang it to compare.
Post #25 above would be about right for a 155" track in at 507lbs wet and ready to ride.

that should be 512 pds if you add it up right...which is consistent with what poo says as the 163 is 6 pds more then a 155....

Please explain. 474lbs - 4 lbs for straps = 470lbs + 8.5 more gallons of gas at 6lbs per gallon = 51lbs.
470 + 51 = 521lbs.
just basing that off what polaris says the diff is on the 155 to the 163..6 pds..and if carls got 438 for the 155 with 0 fuel..then the 163 should be 444 less fuel..who knows..lets see what you show for the cat next...

I don't always ride with a full tank, and I have a riding partner that usually only rides with a half full tank. We have super quick access to our riding areas so there is usually no need to be full. IMO the standard for weighing should be WNF (Wet No Fuel). Like someone said before, this standard would keep the manufacturers from shrinking tank capacity, plus fuel weighs the same in every sled, and we like large fuel tanks.
