2008 800r Limp Mode

Are there any additional items to look at with what is causing Limp Mode on these old 08's?

1.) 2009-10 ECM update for all models...
2.) he tail light wires rubbed thru where the wires exit the tunnel into the tail light housing. the resulting short caused headlights to flicker at first, then go out as well as the guages, and the sled went into limp mode.

I did find that our tailight wire harness did have some frayed wires and i replaced the entire harness back to the tail light

I will check the other 2 items you have listed.

Red wire of death. The red wire going into the three wire plug for the stator was known to rub on a rivet tail near the right aft engine mount. I believe it was a recall and most had the river removed and a small piece of aluminum tape placed over the hole. With the short, I believe the sled wouldn’t run.
