Removed stock track and drivers. I've ran the Challenger Extreme 2.5 for the last 5 years and wasn't about to NOT do so again! Love this track!

Had Fastrax Motorsports do their chaincase mod so that the track wouldn’t rub.

Went with the Timbersled Mountain Tamer rear skid with Zbroz Exits and Ice Age rails, going to be an amazing combination. After seeing what the MT did for the Dragon last year I was very excited to have the opportunity to work with Timbersled again this year on the PRO. The addition of the Zbroz (had Fox Floats last year) shocks and the Ice Age rails should make this little 155 a great, cushy, reliable jumper.

Ice Age surprised me with a little engraving of Octane Productions

Cut the cool new Ice Age rails down to install the Anti Stab kit.

Went with WPS 8” wheels for the rear.

Time to torque everything down, loose suspension bolts lead to disaster…

Now time to get the Avid 7Tooth drivers installed. This was so much easier than the 8 tooth….

Lots of clearance

Then the installation of the Mountain Tamer. We strapped the tunnel up to the ceiling for clearance then I used a couple of straps to hold the track up with the tunnel and was able to get the suspension in (not bolted up) on my own.

It still took some creative placement of feet.

Now time to get the front bolts in… I am the crossthreading queen…

Maybe if I don’t look it’ll work?

Nope, needed help.

Installation of gears.

And we are done!

Don’t have any pictures of the installation of the front suspension… but here’s the final product!

Done just in time to be displayed at the Skagit Valley Polaris Winter Open House!

First short break in ride! The shocks are a bit stiff for my weight I believe, but even with that they took a few hits when climbing and didn’t throw me ie I was able to keep my line and keep going! The sled carves on a dime and the rider needs to get use to that… lol Once we get the suspensions dialed in I’ll have a more technical post about that.

Very nice !!! Seeing your clearance photo the 7 tooth is for sure the way to go with the 2.5.
Did you have any time on the sled before the suspention swap? I'm curious as to the changes with the new skid vs the stock skid? I'ts hard to imagine a better setup than the stock with properly adjusted/valved shocks, and seein that I always mess with stuff would really like a unbaised opinion of someone who has swapped it out.....before I drop 3k....lol...PM if you like, thanks..really nice looking job !!!

Brandy what was the name of that shovel you were talking about awhile back? and where can you get them? Sorry for the off topic questions, your sled looks great and you sure can take pride in doing it yourself. Jay

I didn't have a mile on this sled before doing the suspension swap. But I did have about 20 rides on a 2011 last season.

What I remember about the 2011 was while climbing it would keep climbing and climbing but really felt like the rear end was digging in. The MT on the Dragon really helped the sled stay on top of the snow and so I'm assuming it will do the same improvement on the PRO.

I also remember the sled transfering back harder than I would like. I am really excited about the coupling adjustment on the MT!!

And of course coming off of bumps or landing jumps I'd bottom out.

In comparrison of the stock IQ suspension to the MT I was able to preload the MT shocks on a jump. On the IQ it felt like it would just stay compressed. If that makes sense?

And on those spring rides where you have no choice but to hit the whoops that are no longer groomed the MT just soaked them up, almost made it fun... well, as fun as any trail can be. :face-icon-small-con

Thanks Jay. I have had alot of help this year with my sled as I spent alot of my fall travelling for Octane. But I still try to get as much done as I can. It's fun getting greasy....

The shovel is Ortovox Kodiak.

just wondering why no wrap on the tunnel?
sled looks killer!

I will be installing the VanAmburg Boondock Bumper kit here shortly which requires the removal of that stock rear bracket. So I'm waiting until I get that thing off to put the rest of the wrap on then partially cover it up with the BB kit! LOL But it (IMO) will look baaaaaaadddddddddddass with the wrap behind it.

That's a sick sled. I'm gonna do a wrap like that on my wife's sled. I like when people put step by step photos of their builds. How do u like the rails and new suspension ,I can't decide if that's the route I wanna go or not.

Thanks Brandy, took another look at your pics, nice looking sled and beautiful components going on it, makes me jealous. Mostly when my sled is tore apart like that it's cause I wrecked something.
