Seen someone had pics on FB Fri-Sat from Metigoshe and snow looked to be good for North Dakota snow.. That was before the wind/snow went through over the weekend.

What town do you ride out of to ride the Turtle Mountains? Are they an unheard of black hills, or just flatlands with trees?

most ride out of Bottineau. 3 motels, 6 bars, and skidoo/polaris and yamaha dealer in town. Some stay at lake metigoshe, 2 motels and 3 bars. Gas at both locations. approx 1800 ft in town 2200 at lake. trails and some open field riding. If you know where to go or hook up with a local there is some good riding.

bottineau snow

Rode Sun, not too bad. Found places with some good powder. Hopefully warm temps all week don't settle it too much.

Took a group out cross country yesterday and was amazed at how decent the snow was. Not great but everybody had mountain sleds and I was able to get most of them stuck.

Xfire, it is hill and tree riding. The is trail riding if that is your thing. Tons of boondoocking. No huge hills but usually lots of snow and big meadows in the trees. It is the best riding in ND for sure.
