I wanted to learn how to replace the driving belt on my sleds.
The first one is a 2007 M8.
I found a tutorial on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiim0K7t0OQ
It was rather straightforward.
Then I went to do the same thing on my 2nd sled a 2006 M7
Here the clutch is a different model. So I went back trying to do my homework and found this thread:
http://www.arcticchat.com/forum/m-series-mtn/194313-changing-belt-m7.html
Basically they say that I should be able to open the shives by rotating clockwise/pushing on the helix as that my 12 years old nephew could do it with one hand...
I tried but the damn thing won't freaking bulge! Although the design of the part seems to allows it.
I found this thread:
http://www.arcticchat.com/forum/pinned-topic-area/205617-d-d-shift-assist-kit-install-w-pics.html
same clutch as on my sled, but it seems overkill for what I want + it requires a special tool.
Any ideas?
