Hi guys, I am getting ready to purchase a Mtn. Horse kit. I am really interested if anyone on here has used one on an injected RMZ450 and how it worked? I have last seasons race bike sitting here, the forks are super stiff (sounds like thats the hot ticket), it is ported, has a pipe and generally runs pretty good.

Do you think it will be enough to pull the new 136in setup? Or would I be better off with the 121in? Or should I go to a different bike completely?

Thanks for any info!!

Just stick it on and ride , she will be just fine.

136 only if you only run champagne powder all the time.

That was what I was led to believe anyway,

If you are a all around guy the 121 is best and will

surprise you with its ability in the deep stuff. I was when I tried it.

I am putting mine on a 2012 WR450 the first with a Mt donkey on it.:bounce:

Sounds like the bike will be a strong runner. Read up on the boards and install the standard stuff like a thermostat, air box mods, keep the forks stiff (sounds like you might be set)... I'm sure the bike will run great.

I also think you'll be in great shape on the 121. The high HP bikes seem to do better with it (the 136), but on the racer 450's the benefit seems to be bound only to certain snow types. And from what I hear there isn't any place the 136 will get you that the 121 won't.

Splitting hairs... no 121 and no 136" in the Mountainhorse... (120 and 137")

On the RMZ 450... the 120" MH kit will give you better track speed and performance in most conditions.

The 450 will not give optimal track speed to utilize the extra length.

Thanks for all the input so far! I appreciate it!

I plan to ride this setup in the thickest, nastiest, steepest terrain that no one can go into on a sled. I really dont care about the road. And I really dont care about the trail.

How much better would a 137 kit on a 530 KTM (Or some other bigger bore offroader) work than a 120 kit on my 450 for this type of riding?

Thanks!
