Snow conditions

Hi all, anyone been out riding lately? Is it worth driving out from Calgary?

I haven't, had some surgery last week so pretty much done for the season. A couple guys went up, 6" of "fresh snow" if you want to call it that, on a concrete base. Ya, apparently it really sucks, good for family outings though because you can go pretty much anywhere, and its sunny! Sherm

How does it look this coming week. Is it going to snow up top or rain right t the top with this warm weather

Looks like it will be fairly warm in town so it could rain on top

Normal lapse rate is 2 degrees C per 1000 foot of elevation. Do the math. Not good.

Show Sicamous a little bit of Love!

The District of Sicamous continues to support the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club with financial grants and help in many other ways. They are planning a huge spring clean up work bee in the community this Saturday, May 2nd. The Snowmobile Club wants to be a part of this to show our appreciation to the local Town Council and Tax Payers.

We will be meeting at the Rec Centre at 8am on Saturday and will be doing some clean up of brush at the entrances of town.Lunch will be provided! If you are able to come, email Gord (the club GM who makes it all happen) at info@sledsicamous.com or PM myself. If you are only able to come for a few hours - please come! Make sure and bring gloves and saws etc.
