Question for the masses, are driveshafts interchangeable between the 11-15 Pro and the 16-17 Axys.

Specically, could I take a 14 Assualt driveshaft (with correct pitch & tooth drivers) and swap it onto my 16 Axys RMK?

I know the aluminium hex shafts will transfer. Only difference being one uses nuts and studs and the other uses bolts on the clutch side. Now the assault should be a chain case sled so i dont know if the steel driveshaft from the chaincase sled will fit the quickdrive pro rmk

Yes you can put the pro steal drive shaft into the axys quickdrive, you can also run 8 tooth 2.86p drivers with the 2.6" track with plenty of clearance but you will then need to buy a gear down kit with the 8 tooth drivers.

True, but that will give you a final ratio of 1.95, thats a pretty tall order, lol

Ha. I love puns.

Yeah, it may not work without a gear down, but I still may try it, gear down later if I need to.

Yes, the drive shaft from a chain case equipped sled (Pro-Ride or Axys) will fit in a sled with the Quick Drive system, but you can NOT run a QD specific drive shaft in a chain case equipped sled (no flange for the oil seal). I currently have a drive shaft for the '16 chain case equipped Axys sleds on my Quick Drive Axys Pro-RMK.

I tried to install a pro rmk steel driveshaft 8tooth 2.86 on my SKS but with the 8 tooth sprocket the track was way too tight.
But the driveshaft is bolt on

This is the only way I have found to cost effectively Trail Gear a 2.6 Assault RMK .. or need 24/36 gears which would be 1.5 but probably 1.7 to the track ..

Next question how far is Speedo off .?? Will this help me hurry through break-in ??

Track was to tight in the tunnel or to tight against the rear wheels?

I Will run a Silber kit on a 163" could you tell us more?

Ran this way for over a year,
14 QD for 16 QD shaft 8 tooth - not the steel shaft- Converted to the TKI gear system and belt for a better full grip when on boost-

Regear to what works best for the snow at that day .. Takes 3 minutes to change ratio ( top ) have 2.25/2.33/ 2.41 no prob with clearance 2.6 163"
But suggest to run ARP bolts when your replace the shaft- there is a difference in the bolt length between the 14 and the 16 QD shafts- dunno about the steel shafts

If you use any drive shaft other than the Axys Pro-RMK drive shaft, you will need to use the shorter lower bolt from the 15 QD lower sprocket.

Whats the PN to this?

Don't use the stock bolt when replacing- there are still issues- that why alot of us on here recommend the ARP bolts- I change mine annually- on my pro's and Axys bottom bolts ... Pro's calls for a 20mmlg x 10 m x 1.25

A 25 mm fit's in there perfectly (pro drive shaft not the Axys.)

In the past I've just gone to a local hardware store and bought a 10.9 grade metric bolt that fits the top & bottom. These 2 bolts are less than what I'd pay for one at the stealership.

Stock QD bolts are still grade 8.8.
