Ok, so last year I put my '12 PC 800 SnoPro on a diet. Started at 503 and got down to 473:

http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=314124

Long story short, Speedwerx can, heat exchanger shorten, oil delete, misc.

Through last season, I added full vents, Powder Pros, ice scratchers, Racewerx bumper, anti-stab, HPS can and Airframes. Start of this year it weighed in at 478lbs.

This year so far I have it down to 454lbs.:

BDX front A-arm kit
BDX rear skid arm kit
SLP pipe, can and PC V
Team Tied
Ice Age rails and left the center idlers out

I did all of this at the same time so I cannot say exactly what lost what but only a total. I think I am about done other than the tank and seat when they come out. This should get it to 447 or so...

Looking fowards to this plus more power from the SLP package. I should note that all of the items I installed fit nicely.

Dang I didn't take any pictures!

Oh, For giggles, we have about 15 sleds to teach our students on where I work. I put them to the scales to make myself feel good about what I have done (spent):face-icon-small-win. Most have some fuel in them and some have minor mods. I would call these ballparks since the fuel is not consistant:

'12 PRO RMK 800 155" =457
'10 M8 Sno Pro 153" =493
'06 M7 153" =500
'10 SummitX 800ETEC 154" =523
'12 PC 1100T 162" =587

More to come...

Got mine on a diet too:

BDX-
38" front end -4 lbs
Recoil Drive with Ti bolts -1/2 lb rotating
Hood/Intake -10 lbs
Oil Injection Delete -8 lbs

SLP Full Pipe Setup -20 lbs

Arctic Cat 2014 Seat and Tank -7 lbs
Removed side panel foam -1/2 lb
Removed rear running board inserts and cut snow flap -1/2 lb

Right around a 50 lb diet and a nice HP increase with the SLP Stage 3 kit

Yes! Started an Off Road Power class in April. Snowmobiles, ATV's, SxS's and some PWC. We are spoiling the students with facilities and units to work on!
Thanks!

Yes you did! I just had to have the '12 when it came out as I didn;t want to beat myself on the Firecat anymore.

Hey, at least my sled is paid for but not the parts I threw at it till next month anyways.:mmph:

mmsports C3's website says minus 12lbs for the belt drive. You say 6.

50lbs just transforms this sled from a good sled to a great sled. I am so stoked to get my 14 ProLite 900. I've got about plans to drop another 20-30lbs too.

I really notice the drop in weight. Now looking at anti wheely!

Figure I am close to 70 lbs off my wet weight. Plus I dropped 25 lbs myself!

Looking for another 25 off the sled and that much more myself but not sure of time frame. Shorten exchangers, Patrick cf tunnel extension, nextech rear skid, etc.

Only a grand and it weighs as much as a bone stock Pro with the OE can, all the idler wheels, hood foam, oil injection and a hotdogger loaded with breakfast burritos! I know.....mine will detonate in the next 1k mi though!
Just in fun. Loved my M1k, have a M7 and with the kids machines the sled count is 2 cats, 2 poos and 1 old doo!

Kevin this the best stat of all! Congratulations on the weight lose man, keep up the awesome effort. Not easy changing old habits and lot of hard work goes into it.....well done. The self accomplishment is way more rewarding than any amount of money put into a sled. Plus you feel a million times better.

I know you're going to find riding more enjoyable too!!!! :face-icon-small-hap

Also just in fun. Whats a big bore costing these days? About the only way to gain that hp the car has on it. 3-4k?

I wonder what the Pro would be at for the Pro-Lite $??? Guess we'll find out next year since BDX has a Pro lurking in their shop getting fitted for a Pro-Lite like package...

The Pro costs way more to lose weight. All the easy stuff is already done. Headlight delete for a few pounds but most everything else is expensive. Ti, Carbon fiber etc.
