Hard start on a 2001 rmk

So after like 50 pulls today it finally started , use to start on 2-5 pulls depending on temperature. Got spark and fuel. Looking for input. Also now once it gets pretty warm or hot the recoil doesn’t like to catch, it will catch eventually just annoying. Always catches when cold or starting in the morning no issue

Does this happen every time on first start of the day? Is this fresh fuel or last year's left over fuel? Remove a sparkplug and put a bit of gas in the cylinder to see if it fires right up. How hard is it to start after it has been running?
Low compression or leaking crankcase seals can cause hard starting too.
Take off the recoil and clean it up. You might have some worn or dirty/gummy parts.
