Track replacement is easier for sure but the front bolts in the skid are no easier to get out a system like r motion would be much better, or at the very least a set screw in the cross tube that you could crank in to lock that stupid aluminum cross shaft . If it wasn’t for front bolts you could do a track swap in 1/2 hour easy ,

If your wondering I bought a 154x2.5x15 lynx track I do a 50/50 mix of cross country and mountain riding I’ll swap back and forth

Now for skid sag they are set up in all the low settings from factory I spent some time . Torsion springs cranked up and shock on mid seams decent for me at 200 to start ,
The Skis on them I don’t like they are real dip and diving in blown in snow I don’t feel the same level of control I did on my 21 expert

Pdi on this one was 100% sled was bought from a&e Motorsports in brooks Alberta I was very happy with the entire process, I’m a bit tough to please but was 100%

One bad thing with sled is the dreaded check engine light ?I think it has something to do with the break in process as it was on a lot for the first 25 kms now with 65 km it’s not on anymore and the sled is insane

So this far only real complaint is the check engine light randomly on and that front skid bolts being such a pain to get out more to come

Can you put both tracks on the scale so we can see the weight difference? That would be sweet to know!

Use the jam nut trick!
Take one bolt out and replace it with a longer bolt on which you have also fitted a nut. Thread the long bolt in a bit and then tighten the not towards the tunnel to lock the shaft, remove the bolt on the other side, loosen the jam nut and remove the "long bolt".

Had some time to weld my aluminum jerry can up today . It’s 15 litres with the Polaris bag stacked on top of it it’s only 10.5 inches high . This is just to haul fuel up top I’m going to weld a handle on it so I can chain it to a tree or something. The brp jerry and bag get pretty high when stacked .
