Can you power the display without the sled running?

My summit edge has a battery so it seems logical that I should be able to power up the display without the sled running but I can't seem to figure out how.

The battery is there to keep it powered after engine shutdown.
Not aware of a way to power it on without engine start up?

yes hit shot and it will start up

Yes, briefly tap the shot and it will come on.

I also put on a quick connect/disconnect on the battery, to a trickle charger.

Correct. Display on, no engine.

engine wont turn over cause it wont start unless it has been warmed up, sitting in your garage you just hit shot and it starts up but sled will not

Tried it and the display flashes on for a second and goes right off.

make sure the kill switch is in the on position

I get the same response when I try to light up the display with the shot button....I can't figure it out.

Kill switch should be up/on. Make sure your battery is charged fully. Brief tap for me works every time.
