There are area in the maps that show what appear to be changes in off road travel. Do these affect our riding areas?

When we see maps with "Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized, Recommended" should there be concern?

I see no comments so far regarding snowmobiles or the WSSA. The period to be heard closes in the next several weeks.

"The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Mt. Baker Ranger District is now accepting comments on the Draft Environmental Assessment for the North Fork Nooksack Vegetation Management Project. Please see available information published on the project website for more information about the project and instructions for how to comment."

Thanks for bringing this up. I think I see that map that you're looking at that says "Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized, LSR" but it's not clear to me if that is an impact on sleds or an impact on logging methods. It definitely covers our sled zones in the Canyon Creek drainage.

My understanding from the Forest Service is that logging was the only way to generate funds for necessary road repairs to keep our access to the sled zones. Our roads are in rough shape and always in danger of washing out in the fall.
