Anyone know why so many SNOTEL SITES are going OFFLINE??

Each I see MORE and MORE of the Snotel Sensor sites going DARK.
Each RED Circle indicates a site that has gone OFF LINE and is not reporting in...

I think ur mistaken.
They're not offline, just missing data.
No snow level recorded for that hr but there is other data.

For fresh snow it's roughly 1" of snow per 1/10th" water but depends on snow density. And looking at hourly readings there's usually a few random readings every day, I always check hourly data instead of daily for that reason.

Yes.
I am also in the process of TOTALLY RECODING that little feature to see if we can't STOP IT FROM BREAKING so often in the future./

Most of the sites we lost in SE Idaho came back online.

I found a setting in snotel that enables each station to reflect the current snow levels rather than having to click on each station to see levels.

Click on Controls in upper right of screen and you can adjust the date you are looking at.

Sorry....but we have had 5 Meters of accumulation this season.= 16.5 feet in Revelstoke. Come on up with your passports and enjoy the amazing snow we have received with truckload more on the way. Its always a good reason to road trip. Looking forward to seeing more USA plates in BC this year.
