2023 LYNX SHREDDER

11880_1600[1].jpg

Lynx introduces a new Shredder model that will take the deep-snow riding experience to a new level of agility, power, and control. The Shredder is built on the re-engineered Radien2 platform, which was developed in Finland for hardcore deep-snow riders.
The new Radien² platform features a slimmer and more powder efficient design. Narrower side panels and running boards together with a short tunnel and horizontal snow flap improve handling and reduce drag in deep snow. The new platform is also much lighter as the DS model is 9kg (20 lbs.) lighter and the RE is an incredible 16kg (35 lbs.) lighter than the models they replace. Also new for 2023 are four engine mounts to stabilize the movement of the drive system, which together with improvements to the clutch cooling system, greatly improves belt life.
A new level of power is generated by the optional Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R engine which is the industry’s leading 2-stroke engine with 180hp power and instant throttle response. The Rotax made turbo keeps the maximum 180hp available up to 8000ft, and above that, holds a 55 horsepower advantage over naturally aspirated 850cc engines.
New features like lightened PPS² DS+ rear suspension, LED headlights with up to 3440 lumens of visible light and optional 10.25’’ color touch-screen display with BRP Connect, refine the riding experience significantly. Lynx Shredder is available with two packages. The Shredder RE is the most high-performance model for the most aggressive riding in deep snow. The Shredder DS is a special made model for the deepest powder and steepest hills.
2023 Shredder RE
Why Lynx Shredder RE?
• The most high-performance model that crystallizes the idea of a robust, ride-fierce Scandinavian deep snow snowmobile.
• Slimmer, lighter and more deep snow capable Radien² platform with 15 x 146 x 2.5” PowderMax or 15 x 154 x 3’’ PowderMax3 track options
• LFS front suspension and PPS² DS+ rear suspension with KYB Kashima 36 CR / 46 / 46 HLCR shocks offer massive performance for the biggest air and smooth landings.
The Shredder RE replaces the BoonDocker RE model which has been the absolute favorite for Scandinavian hardcore freeriders for years. And not without reason. The BoonDocker RE has impressed the most demanding riders with its capacity for ultimate fun on snow. Big jumps, wheelies and other tricks are highlighted in every footage seen about the model. And hardly anyone has escaped seeing what Swedish superstars, like Andreas Bergmark in the front line, have done on snow with the BoonDocker RE. Now it is time to turn the page and introduce the next generation of the iconic model of the Lynx deep snow line-up, powered by the Rotax 850 E-TEC and 850 E-TEC Turbo R engines.
The Shredder RE is built on the new Radien² platform. The side panels are narrower as are the running boards that gives the sled more clearance and makes handling effortless. This helps for example in side-hilling where riders can lean steeper towards uphill without the panels or running boards dragging in the snow. Also the 15’’ wide track with full-length rods helps the sled to keep its course more predictably, without washouts. The new running boards are extruded which translates to a more rigid structure and sharper responsiveness from rider input.
Shredder RE features the lightened PPS² DS+ rear suspension which is tailored for rough deep snow riding. Besides remarkable deep snow capability, the rear suspension features rail reinforcements ensuring maximum durability for the most aggressive riding. The absolute sweet spot of the Shredder RE is its unrivaled shock package. The rear suspension boasts a massive 46mm diameter KYB Kashima shock absorbers – with 3-way adjustability in the rear shock. Together with the 3-step adjustable KYB Kashima front shocks, the suspension package literally entices for aggressive riding.
Shredder RE comes with two track options. The 146’’ with 2.5’’ lugs is the pick for the riders who want to combine ultimate agility and a fun factor together with performance. With the154’’ track option with 3.0’’ lugs the rider gets a huge dose of deep snow capability together with impressive maneuverability and high performance.
The Shredder RE features the new LED headlights with 3 modules that brilliantly ignite the polar night adding confidence to the darkest rides. Plus, the riding experience is elevated to a whole new level thanks to the optional 10.25’’ color touchscreen display that can be paired with the next generation BRP GO! app to offer next level navigation, the ability to track your fellow riders, and more.
The Shredder RE comes with the ingenious SHOT starter system and two pairs of LinQ attachment bases to help to accessorize the Shredder RE to meet rider’s preferences.
Lynx Shredder RE key features:
• Radien² platform
• Rotax 850 E-TEC with 146” (sea level) /Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R with 154’’ (high altitude)

• 2 pairs of LinQ bases
• Optional 10.25’’ color touchscreen display with BRP Connect

• Adjustable brake lever

2023 Shredder DS
Why Lynx Shredder DS?
• Hard core deep snow snowmobile for the deepest snow and steepest slopes.
• Powered by Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R engine (optional), the most powerful 2-stroke snowmobile in the industry to offer furious power and performance, no matter the altitude.
• The combination of powder efficient Radien² platform and 154’’ / 165’’ long track with 15’’ width offers superior maneuverability and performance in deep snow.
Raw performance. Outstanding agility. The Shredder DS, replacing the BoonDocker DS, sets the new standard offering a very special snowmobile package for the deepest powder and steepest slopes. The new era of Radien² platform takes the Shredder DS to the top of the hill, compared to any deep snow sled on the market. The key pillars behind the superiority of theShredder DS in deep snow are the increased performance brought by the Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R engine and the improved handling which is based on the Radien² platform and the lighter PPS² DS+ rear suspension.
Made for active deep snow riders, the Radien² platform offers a level of agility and predictability in deep snow that is unmatched. Thanks to the narrower side panels and running boards, riding sidehills and other technical terrain is more effortless and predictable than before. One significant novelty in the platform is the short tunnel with short horizontal snow flap that reduces drag further when riding in very technical terrain. Narrower and more powder efficient design allows tighter turns with better response to rider maneuvers with less effort. With the new Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R powerplant, the outstanding 180hp performance is available up to 8000ft and when ridden in even higher altitudes, the 55hp advantage over naturally aspirated 850 E-TEC is always there.
The renowned PPS² DS+ rear suspension has redesigned parts for less unsprung mass. That means better reactivity to rider’s commands and an effortless riding feeling. The PPS² DS+ rear suspension is known for its great deep snow capability. It has a low angle of attack which helps the suspension float on the surface of the snow. Another significant feature of the PPS² DS+ is its open structure that prevents snow build-up even in slushy conditions. That helps to maintain the operation of the suspension in varying conditions and helps the suspension remain light.
The Shredder DS is available in two track lengths, both with 3’’ lug height. The 165’’ version is the one that seduces the riders who want to make their tracks on the biggest tops and take the sled for the most demanding deep snow challenges. 154’’ is the best choice for those who are looking for the optimal combination of nimble handling and strong deep snow performance. To maximize the agility and reduce washouts in sidehilling, both tracks are 15’’ wide featuring full-width rods.
As the Shredder RE package, the Shredder DS comes with an optional 10.25’’ color touchscreen display that can be paired with the BRP GO! app to offer a new level of experience for riders.

Kind of annoying that the RE seems to be limited to 146 for non turbo. But the DS can have 154 non turbo. But have to turbo for the 163 or whatever. Its all confusing on why different tracks width or lengths force you into a turbo..

Myself and a friend do not want turbo.

Seems awesome but I'll be sticking with my 2022 boondocker for some time :) ( 8 years on my previous Doo, we shall see if I can wait that long again )

15" wide 154 Non turbo. RE.. now yer talking. But can't seem to do that as an option.

Do anyone know if the shredder and Summit still have the same tunnel width?
The Shredder are now running a 15" track and the Summit 16"

I never seen a 700 shredder either. 850 a
That shows a 23 but yhat is in last years chassis
Not sure what you're saying but they didn't build the Shredder last year and it clearly states it's a 2023. From what I am seeing on their website the Shredder cannot be customized and is only offered in the 600 R while the Shredder RE and DS can be customized or do a build package.

That is last years chassis on the link you posted. I know they didn't buildit last year. They are using last years chassis for the 600 and calling it a 23 shredder.
