I installed my 13.6 PA head on my 13 Pro 600 that brad sent me. The machine work is amazing and the install went great. Gained 20lbs of compression on each cylinder with the new head. Now all I need is some snow so I can try it out. Anyone looking for a great quality custom head, give brad at power addiction a call. He has 12.5, 13.1, and 13.6 compression ratios for all altitudes. I have photos of both heads side by side if anyone is interested. Give me a PM with a number and I will text them to you.

gotta ask..why would u put a head on a 600,why not just get the 800 and add a head to that if u want alittle more?...just asking....because ppl always say get the 800 you'll find out later that you'll want more[/QUOTE
There are several 8 V 6 threads so why question the mans purchase? How many threads titled my 600's pistons are soo loose and my skirt is cracked....None.

My previous sled was an 09 M8 (170hp) with the slp porting, pipe, head, pc3, and there full clutching. Even the power on the polaris 800 will not be close. I wanted to get more into boondocking so I wanted the pro chassis, however I did not want the polaris 800 engine. This sled is 50 lbs lighter than my M8 so it should be a hoot. I paid 1700 less for it than the 800 and the head cost me 350. The only problem I heard with the 600 is they get a little weak up high. The 13.6 head will restore lost compression for high altitude riding and it does not cost a lot of money. If I want more power I will do brads full 660 kit next year and all I have to do is change out the domes. I also love the fast revving little engines and from what I hear the 600 when setup right is more responsive than the 800. As for wanting more power that is a never ending battle. My buddies all ride 450 four stroke ditbikes and I am a ktm 300 guy. To each his own.

I have a 2010 M8 and am pretty sure my next sled will be a 660 Pro. I too like the quick revving and nimble feel of the smaller motors.

I hope some the builders see this as a opportunity for more sales..I would be all in for a 600 turbo and it looks like I'm not the only one.

I just have to smile when I see the 800 guys getting their egos hurt when someone brings up a thread like this! My riding style pushes me into the most technical and deep snow areas I can find, or my sled will allow, and last 2 years now I have had the oppurtunity to ride the 600 side by side with my 2012 800 pro and believe me when I say that this 6 is same level as the 8, most times I had to open the panels to check the motor to see which one I was riding! They are almost identical minus a little low end torque on the 6 but you gain better response in mid range on the 6 with the quicker revs.

Now will the 6 run all day with the 8 in every scenario? As soon as we get snow I will let you know, as I will have one SLP stage 4 kit 800, and one stock 800 to compare to! Since I sold my time bomb 800 and bought a 600 pro rmk, and doing a almost identical setup as Iluv2fly is doing, (who started this thread) I am very optomistic with personal experiences that this will be the most Reliable, technical, and fun sled I have ever owned!

To be fair, the KTM 300 is a 2 stroke monster and 450 4 stroke eater. It is the 200 in the KTM line up that is the sleeper whip. 216 pounds or something. Single track eater equivalent to the pro 600 boondocker. IMO.

That is true. My buddy has a 200 and they are a great bike. I still think this 600 is going to surprise people

Thanks for the photos. Did they give you clutching recommendations ? It's like adding a pipe if the power is what they say.
