So we all know the importance of setting up our clutching properly for the right elevation. I'm from the flats but always properly set up my clutching when I head to the mountains to ride the backcountry. My question is, how important is it for putting around on the trails. My parents (who are 69 and 63) are considering going to B.C. to sled and will obviously not be leaving the trail on their f-series Cats. Do they need to spend the money on weights and helixes to spend a few days on the trails at say 6000 feet.

I don't think i would bother changing weight's for trail riding. They might be a few hundred rpm from peak horsepower but should still boogie pretty good lol
