The West Central Montana Avalanche Center has posted a short pdf slide show of a close call that happened on Christmas Eve. This is in the Red Lion area SE of Phillipsburg, MT.
This area has seen a number of close calls and avalanche fatalities in the past few years. Keith wants to emphasize the importance of wearing your safety gear each and every time you go out whether its boondocking, poker runs or trail riding. Don't be caught in avy terrain without the gear!
