air screws

where are the air screws on my 06 600ho switchback carbs, and how many turns out should they be for 1500ft.

I would guess that it is the same as my 06 rmk 600. They are located on the right side of each carb. Mine are white. They are actually fuel screws. In other words if you screw them in you get less fuel out you get more fuel. As far as where to set them for your altitude I'm not sure. Need to start rich and screw them in a 1/8 turn at a time till it cleans up.

I do not believe you have air screws on the 06. All you have is an air jet and that is located at the bottom lip of the intake side of your carb. These little items are non adjustable. In order to change the air setting you have to change the air jet and those little buggers are expensive. The last one I worked on had a .9 air jet in it. If you go down in size say .8 you are riching up if you go to say 1.2 you are leaning out.
