I had issues with the the diamond drive and it eventually let go and went into nuetral.
It started a series of events where I had to hike to a distant cabin for the night and then hiked 3 miles the next morning when help arrived.
The symptoms were it locked up, I think it was half way...
So i tore into the DD on my 09' M1000 today and was glad because i found this.....
So, now the question is.... do i need to replace it or is it still ok??? The gears all turn freely and feel the same, since i'm in there i have already ordered the 5203 bearing which i hadn't replaced yet...
