THe cylds and pitons from a 2006 900 will work.
You can use your injectors.
You will have to reflash your ECU to match your injector color and to 2006 900 specs.
You will also need the 2006 cyld head for the 900.

If i did this same thing to my 06 700 would i still be able to use my SLP pipe sents it was made for a 7? How much $ would it be all done, just wondering if any of you have the #'s in your head already. And what would i be looking like hp wise compared to right now with just a SLP pipe kit and air box?

Thanks Sean

I installed the SLP pipe and can during fall of '06. SLP had just just begun to ship the actual product. Didn't ship any during the 05/06 season. At that time, the ECU programing had not been released by SLP to the dealers, allowing them to use the digital wrench program (like they did for the 900's). As a result, I had to pull the ECU out and send it to SLP with a copy of the receipt for the pipe, and the color of the injector sleeves. No problem, very fast turn around (one day). Very easy.

The biggest change to the program is at higher RPM (7000 to 7400). The motor takes off, like a motor with twin pipes.

Not sure if the program is the same for 700's and 900's. i would think the 900 needs a bit more fuel. The ECU box itself should be the same. You can then reflach with what ever program you want.

The best part is you loose a true 20 pounds from the front end. I made the change for the weight savings alone.

Sorry, but had to bring this one back from the dead. Has anyone sucessfully upgraded their 7 to a 9? I have been told that they use different cranks. I was interested in upgrading my 7 to a 975 BB kit. But I didnt know if the crank would hold up to it. SLP was no help when i talked to them, they just tried to sell me their dyno mule motor.

I am still kicking the idea of doing this to my wifes 06 700...but havent commited on it yet..maybe next year or the year after, once she gets alot of seat time..

anyways...the CRANKS ARE THE SAME..100% for sure..as long as your 700 is a 2006...

i would at least get the polaris updated crank with the 32mm PTO end..and then you can upgrade to the TMI kit (billet PTO end) for $500 later on...but make sure you get the cases either lined bored..or buy new ones...

if you need any help on this or your sled, let me know..i have a fair amount of info ;)
