took it off my yz 490 BB, FMF titanium silencer, built a adapter ( hacked up my old m1000 can, best use I got out of it yet) and it worked flawless, its also no louder than a 09 slp piped sled of my buddies (packing may be weak though) but sounds tuned and better than any cat 2 stroke I've had. With the snow flap gone, all the foam (what a joke) and this can I'm almost sure I dropped around 25lbs. It also feels stronger than the other sled just like mine I rode and I was in deeper snow, this thing is a animal for a stock 153.

hopefully I have a video to post with the sound so you can here it but prob not tell later. Happy New Year,

Btw, I put all that foam on a scale, WAY lighter than you'd think.

Good use of garage items, did you do anything special for the outlet for snow bog or did it seem to stay cleaned out.

You can make it look great if you want, it was a test to see if worked so I wasn't going to take the time to make it all pretty, and who gives a f ck, near 20lbs lighter and cost me nothing,,, and it performs.

My butt dyno says I didn't loose power and may have gained response of power, it ran perfect, No snow bogs that I noticed. Snow was 2-3ft real fresh dry and under that was a base but didn't hold up very well and if trenching it would punch right through and the outlet of the can stuffed in base layer it never missed a beat. I'm sure there will be times but so far so good.
Video, sounds loud but its not bad, even the old guys said they didn't mind it and actually liked the tuned sound (they have been known to b1tch about some)

Wyo - after seeing your mod I think that maybe the old guys are just being nice to you because they're scared of you! Lol

I'm going to buy a Thrush or a Cherry Bomb and do the same thing. I'll weld the end of that up to go into the steering shaft to get some hillbilly handwarmers too.:face-icon-small-hap
