How many mods before running a controller?

I have an '09 M1000 sno pro. I have a super Q can everything else stock. Can I install a BDX air box without a controller safely, or will it lean out the motor too much? I usually run 7000-10000ft Any help would be great!!!

I ran an 08 M1000 with the same setup last year with no issues.

you can run a y pipe,can,intake on the 09 must run stock pipe.

I ran can, Y, Intake, RKT 14.1:1 head, and BDX oil delete on my 09 & ran 1260 EGT at 9k feet. Ran that setup for around 3k or better miles without issue.

After the first time running at 9k I started adding 1/2 gal of race to keep egt's a little lower.
