blue/brown/blue primary spring, supertips, shockwave helix, red/white ac secondary spring.

This is what I plan to run, testing tomorrow.

I run the same except with a AC green and a shockwave helix. My last belt lasted 1000 miles, I just changed it because RPMs were getting low.

I got the ac ed/white spring from Paul. Its about the same as the ac green but this one lasts longer....

Have you tried the blue/white/blue primary spring??

yeah paul said he seen a few AC green springs break, the cutler red white is similar in torsional force but is a bit stronger and should last a bit longer!

I have tried both, I have the Blue white blue on now. I will try the ac Red/white next time though.

Ha ha just realized I need to order new clutch chart....Yamaha changing too much over the last couple of years....here's specs!

BLUE/WHITE/BLUE
93.4mm Total Length / 5.8mm Wire / 45 kg preload / 119 kg total force / 2.25 kg/mm spring rate

BLUE/BROWN/BLUE
98.4mm Total Length / 5.8mm Wire / 50 kg preload / 116 kg total force / 2 kg/mm spring rate

So what would be the benefit to running either one? Thanks

All of the Nytro's in our group run Blue/White/Blue primary, Dalton weights ranging from 75 gr to 88 gr. EPI or cat purple sec spring with Yamaha straight cut 47 deg helix. It was the same for a 162 or 174 track and elevation 5500-7500 ft. No belts sticking in the secondary and decent belt life. 600-800 kms in Revy snow.
This works good for us anyway.

That is pretty much what I run, just leave the shockwave at 46-47. RPMs still fluctuate a bit at top RPM but it is close enough. The nytros peak RPM seems to jump around a lot during a pull. My primary has 8 BU's loaded. I think daltons or supertips one could dial in the clutching better. I semi recall 10mm rollers as well?

Do you have to run quite a bit of preload with the Puple sec spring to keep the belt from slipping?

The blue/white/blue primary spring is that a yammy part or EPI ?
Thanks
Also, what holes should the EPI purple secondary spring should be in.
I ask because I had dealer put it in and now I'm hit the rev limiter at 9100 rmps at 7000 feet.
That's all that was changed

The blue/white/blue spring is from Yamaha.

A green AC sec. spring should be wound to 40 degrees. Thats what the spec sheet from Impulse says....

How much different of a profile are the Daltons from the Supertips? And where are you guys placing your washers (inside, center, outer?)

daltons have a way better profile very similer to yammi weights & work allot better than the supertips did for me & thats all boost it guys run now is daltons.
