Drilling clutch weights to shave 2 grams

According to the set-ups on my airbox I need to drop 2 grams on my wifes 500 MC clutch weights (42.5 to 40.5).

Rather than spend the $50 on new weights is it possible to drill 2 grams out of the center of the weight? I have access to a scale and thought I would just start with a very small bit and keep stepping it up a size until I get to where I need to be.

I know I'm cheap... but it seems wastefull to drop $50 on new weights if I could do this myself easily.

if u have a good scale the u r better off to grind 1 gram off each side so u dont cause an imbalance in the weight. Drilling will put it off a bit. put your weight against the side of a grinding wheel and shave 1 grfm per side. Good luck

It doesn't hurt to grind it off one side.

I would however change the ballance to drill holes. I grind the side with the stamping, as you're changing the weight, so get rid of the wrong marking.
