clutch puller...tighten...hammer...tighten...hammer...tighten...pop..its off..if a real problem get a can of permatex freeze and spray crank...it freezes the crank to minus 45...and no do not take that big nut off to remove...what are you trying to do...if just changing weights or spring leave clutch on

Get a neighbour, now that is funny, you have no idea where i live:) We are trying to replace the clutch, it is siezed. Where do you grab the clutch with the puller? and there is no room to get anything in between the tub and the primary. Is there a special puller? Our closest Cat dealer is 200 miles from here so we are pretty much on our own.

ok...your in a pickle...if you are replacing clutch and have no puller etc...then carefully cut the clutch off with a fine cutting disc.(split it).and put new clutch on and tighten bolt 55 lbs..just be careful not to go to deep and cut crankshaft stub...cut what you want to get parts of the old clutch out of your way..but thats your answer and its easy to do...ASK YOUR NEIGHBOUR...LOL..

Pull the center clutch bolt off. It will be a 12 point 1/2 socket.
Look into the hole with a light, you will see threads on the clutch portion.
Get a grade 8 bolt to fit those threads, they should be about a 1/2 fine thread, I think.
Teflon tape your new bolt.
Turn the sled on its side.
Fill the clutch hole with water.
Screw your new bolt into the hole about a third of the thread distance.
Then hit it with a 1/2 air gun.
That should hydrolic jack the clutch off.
Install new clutch, new bolt, 55ftlbs.
Run and re torque.
