An Independent 3rd Party, DynoTech Research, recently ran a production 2010 800 HO straight
from the assembly line and the results were outstanding! 163.1 horsepower at 8100 RPM.
Industry leading 800 class horsepower!

As the experts have professed and the chart shows, the power is smooth and consistent from
low RPM to high RPM. As Kent Lester from SuperTrax put it, “believe us, throttle response is
immediate and its power supply is as deep as the Grand Canyon. From Top to Bottom, this
mill’s power curve graphs out well above the old 800, and when you dip into the throttle, you’ll
notice the difference in a second.”

I was lucky enough to have some seat time on a new M8 and that sled rips. Incedible pull from the bottom all the way to top!!

So now I need to sell my XP and get a 2010 M8, it really runs that good.

I got 71.1 miles on my 10' m8 le in the three rides. Today on buff pass in steamboat there was a 41" base w/ another 33" of fluff on top. Incredible riding today, and this sled is beyond incredible, i got a custom intake i built which is similar to the bdx and my tunnel dump speedwerx muffler is not being made yet so i bogged out like 4 times. But once that is in this sled was stupid fast. At 11,090 ft. I never once had to pin it in three feet of powder.

That's great to hear.

After reading this information, it kind of makes you wonder how long the M1000 will be around?

The 2010 M8 now makes more stock horse power and weighs 30 lbs less. This could be the last hurah for the big guy? Yet, with a little tweaking the M1000can make another 30 or so hp more than a stock 2010 M8. I doubt it but, maybe they'll give the M1000 engine the same treatment the M8 engine received?

today i rode both my stock 2010 m-8 and my modded 186 hp 09 1000...no the m-8 wouldn't outpull the 1000, but it is very quick, responsive, fun sled, no bogs, just clean running fun....i'm thinking a bit of clutch work for better shift out and i'm done....a can for weight of coarse, but i'm in no hurry for that....i'll see what works well...for sure the best out-of-the-box sled i've had, and i get 1 or 2 new sleds a year, sorry, that's just the way it is..:)
