Arctic Cat issued a new service bulletin today for all 2009 M1000 and Crossfire 1000 models. CFR1000 is not included.

There are various heat shields and air ducting that they are asking to have installed on all models to improve engine performance.

I will post updates as they become available.

Service Bulletin

I thought that CFR intake was the same as the M, does anyone know if they are different and if so...what is the difference?

Internal pipe configuration is the same. You will have more heat shielding on the 2007 pipe compared to the 2009, but this update has the oil bottle shield and some silencer shielding you wont get any other way. If you have an aftermarket can, there is not much for you beside the oil bottle shield.

For the 2008 m1000 there was an update for the ECU last spring. Was there any timing curve change? I didnt get it done because i finally got my boondocker tuned correctly and didnt want to have to re tune it. What are peoples findings that did the reflash? Did it help or did it just make the machine more environmentaly friendly sacrificing power? I heard made the sled richer bottom end. Whats the benefit?

in my opinion dont do it it made it really rich on the bottom i had the 07 mapping and i miss it i did get it reflashed to an 08 map which works alright the big thing is not to hold it in the mid too long vary the throttle if you have the 07 map

Anyone got a pic of these parts installed? Does a 2010 M1000 have these parts installed? I'm mostly interested in the cable shields, but seeing everything would be nice.

Did anyone have problems with stuff melting on the '09 M1000's?

going from an 07 to 08 map was a bad reflash, i liked the 08 to 09 flash which helped my sled run better over most of the rev range and helped my dial in my BD box better as well.
