REVY exposed in SKI Magazine

For those interested in the ski area development progress, get the October issue of Ski Mag.

3,031 acres of skiable terraine, Base elevation 1,680' sumit 7,300', 5,620' verticle, 27 trails, 4 lifts, 80% advanced/expert. 120 miles from the closest all weather air port in Kelowna--recommend 4 x 4 rental.

Limited services, not family friendly. Ski does not recommend REVY until more development takes place in the next two years. REVY thinks it will rival Vail and the Canadian gov't wants to develope ski areas to compete with Colorado.

I'll bet the developers will have a hard time raising investor cash--and at $60/barrel it's not coming from the middle east

The hill was just bought out by the Gaglardi family from Vancouver. The main american interest lost his financial backing recently and had to sell out.The Gaglardi's are stiffing most of the local contractors involved with the development, including me. The developement doubled it's skiable terrain this summer and will offer unparralled skiing, but the on hill facilities are not developed yet. And with the Gaglardi's involvement, who mainly want the land, the on hill amentities will be slow in coming.
