new oem crank

I just got a brand new polaris crank installed on my 05 900 and the dealer told me that this is a new beefier crank that polaris is using. Can anyone confirm this??

Crank ends.

dmj1 - The crank is a brand new stock weight Polairs update crank that I would guess was to go into the 2007 sleds had they been released. ( This crankshaft will NOT reduce vibration ) like the Torque Master II & III. It is a Polaris upgrade crank and I just enhanced it and the case to make it last longer.

It has a larger PTO-end.

I remove the OEM PTO bearings and replace them with the Torque Master tripple lock ring set-up.

Then a brand new case is blue printed and fitted to the new crankshaft.

The crankshaft kit can be bought by anyone over the counter at a dealer.

1st Problem is................Most dealers never heard of them.

2nd problem........... If you buy it from a dealer you get what came in the box..........And the 900 Polaris Bottom-end must be as altered and blue printed for long gevity.

If you figure in that I include a brand new Crankcase with every one there isn't much room for profit.

Three reasons for doing it.

1 -This will hopefully get some off the 900's off the snow before they break. ( after they break most core return cases are junk. ) and thats another $550.00 added on top of the TM II & III's ( Gets SPENDY!!!! )

2 - I need more GOOD cores for the torque master II & III's

3 - Its a way to get some more 900's out running for many years to come.

The 900 Polaris motor is a force to be reconded with.

polaris 32mm

you would think Polaris would have been smart enough to make the new clutch the same fit as the cat & ski-doo clutches.

There getting dumber as the years go by. wtf is with 32mm.............

And the bolt size Polaris uses to hold the clutch on is to BIG!!!!!!

If the 900 had a 33mm snout and the same size bolt as the cat the PTO-end would never break off flush with the seal.

To bad the Good old boys Like Gregg Hedlund at Polaris are fading out of the picture, You can sure tell by the stupid things they do now days these type of guys arn't involved as much anymore and a bunch of punks are trying to run the place.
