The whole gun control issue is being sidelined right now.
The dems are trying their best to get the big bills thru without looking like the liberals they are.
If they try to push gun control they know it will blow up in their face and they don't want the headache or distraction right now.

But don't worry, they haven't forgotten or given up on it, they are just putting it off for a bit.

Or just waiting for the right bill to sneak it into so that most people will not notice.
