There is no thread for temp sensor, it is a 170f, and bypass goes to t in left rad hose. Bill from Watt-Man recommended temp probe in bypass line.

I think with where he has it goes right back into the water pump. Its in the lower hose coming out of the radiator.

Just installed the Same kit on my 450ktm and the recirc line does go back to the pump and I drilled and threaded my temp sensor right in the return fitting, I bought the optional 195 degree stat image.jpgimage.jpg the top housing is the factory KTM from a old 300

Yes exactly, the recirc goes to the lower left cylinder hose which feeds the cylinder, acting as a closed loop to satisfy the "setpoint" that the t-stat is calling for.

Good looking install. I have the original Thermobob that is a bit bigger and the fitment is a bit different from yours. I'm going to be modifying mine to mount up high just like the install here.

Does the Thermobob clear all metal and rad related parts decently? I don't want to vibrate a hole into a rad or scuff the hell out of my motor with the stat rubbing it constantly.

Mine touches nothing! and I routed my bypass line under the housing rather than above, and my TTO water temp sensor was taped into the bypass housing

running the bypass under the housing gave some rad clearance? would like to see pics of your install. taping the housing is a great idea.

I would want the bypass outlet on the t-stat to be facing up so it constantly gets every bit of air out of the t-stat. Air is your enemy in any cooling system and anything you can do to prevent trapped air no matter how small can make a difference on how the system works.

Anyone want to post a picture of their TTO Temp Gauge tap-in job? I was just going to run a 19mm in line coupler but I like this idea better. The less hose clamps the better!

the T fitting is a HEX fitting ,,I just went over one flat spot and drilled in an 1/8 inch tap and installed it so it is facing down ,,but you have 6 positions to choose from?
