im riddin 4500-5000 on a 07 m8 with 75gr lite tip weights stock yel/wite primary, 44/40 cam with orange spring. wen im boondockin the revs will go to 7 or 7200 than climb up to 7500, so im thinkin i need a prim spring with a little more pre load to help with the bottom end and get to 7500 faster. so i need a chart or some ideas on wat i should use. in a few weeks im gonna install rkt head and sec clutch kit ,but in the mean time i want to dial her in for the christmas break.

Not listed, new goodwin springs, listed on web cataloge without rates, some FBP springs, rated at 2.2"and 1.1" (useless numbers), some EPI springs, same problem, and lots of RER springs that might work, but not sure on. The Team springs require an adapter. Goodwin RER springs work fine in my 2005 without mods.

gold spring

My chart (pdf file and won't load) shows the a/c gold spring
2-9/16" = 75lbs.
1-5/16" = 275lbs
pm me with your e-mail and I can send you this chart
I run this spring w/ cutler adjustable weights 74-75 gr.
Low engagment like.....+ or - 3200 rpm and helps starting in deep w/o trenching. It makes reverse interesting sometimes LOL

I am currently running a 36 helix in my 06 M7plus pushing about 182hp and am looking at getting a different helix. Some of my buddies are running the 44/40 in the M8s but said my sled pulls hard enough to go with a 46/38. any suggestions?

Ordered two gold springs a week ago. Was hoping to have them this week for our Snowies trip but the holidays screwed everything up.

This thread has a ton of good stuff in it, but i am wondering almost 2 years later how your setups have evolved? I am trying to setup the wifes sled (2007 M8 153) and need a tried and true baseline. Thanks
