A number of 2013 Polaris Pro RMK snowmobiles have exhibited catastrophic drive shaft failures. Happy Face recognized the need for a proactive solution, one that does not potentially leave Pro RMK owners stranded with an inoperable machine in the backcountry, a potentially unsafe scenario. We have heavily invested in failure characterization, R&D, engineering and design to develop a product that enhances the strength of the Polaris drive shaft design.
The CNC machined 6061 Aluminum HFRPP Pro Collar will provide significant clamping force around the entire 2013 Polaris drive shaft, with equal forces applied at the correct locations to allow for maximum holding power. Allowances have been made to compensate for design tolerances in the 2013 Polaris Drive shafts, assuring that the Pro Clamp will fit all 2013 shafts.
This product can be installed in less than 10 minutes, with no modification to the snowmobile. We have even seen some installed on the snow.
